The passing of Elaine has left a void in our lives She was a loving individual who truly loved her Family and Friends.
She left footprints in our hearts

Funny, and straight forward, with a great heart.  We met so many years ago through our friendship with Susie. It was a pleasure to get to know you and your family. Thank you, for your kindness and always treating us and our boys as your own family.  You will be greatly missed.

I lost touch with my aunt Elaine as a teenager, but I fondly recall the many Thanksgiving dinners shared at her apartment - memories of seeing her dog smile, learning about soldering irons, air traffic control, and why to keep a coffee packet in your car from cousin Wayne, and playing Atari 2600 'Adventure' with my other cousins. She was always so warm, caring, loving, and full of life, and I'm glad for the opportunity to have called her my aunt.

What words can possibly do justice to express my feelings of loss - and sincere condolences - at the passing of my beloved Aunt Elaine?

We were very close for my entire life and some of my earliest & fondest memories were her feeding me apple sauce or (preferably!) chocolate pudding and taking me on walks in the stroller around Rockland County.

Later into childhood, the highlight of every year was going to her home in Queens, visiting with our cousins, and celebrating Thanksgiving as a family. And of course - as an energetic and wrestling-obsessed "child of the 80's" - begging them to rent via  Pay Per View the "Survivor Series" with Hulk Hogan and the other stars of the day. These memories remain deeply warm ones for me - having such special time with Aunt Elaine, Uncle Barton, Cousins Wayne and Tammy, etc.

During this time and throughout my childhood, Aunt Elaine would stay at our home in Rockland County a few times per year and we would stay up late together enjoying snacks, watching TV, and talking about everything under the sun. We even had the chance to visit England and then Israel together for my Bar Mitzvah!

As time went on and life got busier, the visits became less frequent but the love always remained. As I began my journey in discovering our family's history, Aunt Elaine was such a valuable treasure trove of stories, photos, and memories and we spent numerous late nights on the phone uncovering mysteries and remembering those that came before us.

I was so honored that she was able to make it my wedding in 2018 and be such a big part of that celebration and - most importantly - meet my beloved bride Jenna.

While I wish that we could've shared more years together on this planet, I am deeply grateful for the time that we did get to spend and I will always keep her memory alive and pass it on to future generations. Her kindness, sense of humor, and deep reservoir of love will always stay with me and inspire...

I can recall the first time I was introduced to Mrs. Pessin  by her daughter in law  Susie aka Susie Q . Elaine was such a nice person I remembered when she visited me at my job, and we shared a special treat which we both enjoyed Liver Pâté. She will be missed each time I eat  our special treat I will think of you R I  P 




My Dearest “Sister” in law,
I carry So many Wonderful Memories of Happy times spent together!  You were the Matron of Honor at our Wedding & We shared a Beautiful Friendship 50 years + old!
I knew we were there for each other & that was Very Comforting through Good Times & Bad! Oh how I’ll miss talking  & laughing & “disagreeing “with you!
You left a Big Void in my heart!

    I feel like half of me is gone. Although we met at bingo our lives were so alike that  I feel as though we were sisters.

I’ll always remember you as my best friends Mom…….you welcomed me into your home on numerous occasions and always made me feel like family.  My fondest memory is your Lasagna - Tammy would boast about how good it was and I had the pleasure of eating at your house one day….and I got to try it…..it was delicious.  You will be missed ❤️

I will always be thankful to Elaine for making me feel so at home in her house. As a teenager, Wayne was my best friend. I spent a lot of time at their house. More than most friends would.  I even called her my 2nd mom. The reassurance I got from knowing I could just show up and always be welcome meant more to me than anyone knows. My own house was turbulent to say the least. And having a place to escape to meant more to me than she probably ever realized. 

Elaine… from the first day we met, we both knew we had a special bond. We have been through everything together... Sure, there were bad times but it seems like nothing compared to the love and happiness we shared… I’m selfish right now... I’m sitting in your apartment and my heart is broken, I can’t remember a time that you were not here with us. I need you to know how much I appreciate everything you have done for me... for us. You loved my children and gave them the greatest blessing of a unique relationship with their grandparent that they will carry with them forever. Your love remains in my heart. I love you mom… sleep with the angels… Until we meet again …
