Donna Lee Conklin

While growing up in Brooklyn, Donna attended Our Lady of Angels Elementary School and then high school at St. John Villa Academy in Staten Island. “Villa,” as it was known to the students, was very dear to her heart. Donna made many lifelong friends there, staying in touch with her close friends through all the years after they left the school. She loved to reminisce about the “old days” and all the trips the family took to places like Rockaway Playland, Keansburg Amusement Park, Nellie Bly and so many others.

In 1987 she met Donald E. Conklin, who was interviewing for a job where she was an Administrative Assistant to the Senior Vice President. After he was hired, they began dating and were married on November 4, 1989. On August 25, 1998, they welcomed their first child, Donald Edward Conklin Jr.

On July 14, 2005, they added Daniel Christopher Conklin to the family. Her three boys were the joy of her life.

At her suggestion, we visited Westminster Presbyterian Church and became members in 2002. Donna loved too many people at Westminster to mention by name and in particular the proper way worship was conducted. One of her memories was when Dr. Simpson and Cheryl Chariot brought her to the Sanctuary and played the organ for her alone. She loved the Holy Sanctuary at Westminster so much.

On November 9, 2024, Donna went peacefully to meet her Savior and Lord. Although she will be dearly missed by her family and her Westminster friends, she is now fully restored and perfect in both physical and spiritual health. Hallelujah to the Paschal Lamb that welcomed her home.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday Nov. 23rd, 2024 10:00am at Westminster Presbyterian Church 560 Station Road Rock Tavern, N.Y.
