Barbara M Schiraldi

Barbara Schiraldi, 90, of Washingtonville, N.Y. passed away September 16th, 2022. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y. to Charles and Mary Connaughton on July 16th, 1932. Barbara graduated from Walton High School in the Bronx. She married Michael C. Schiraldi on November 21st, 1953. Barbara was a homemaker and mother to her four children. She was a member and Past President of the Salisbury Mills Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and had a passion for playing bingo. Barbara is survived by her children Michael (Debbie), Nancy (Ken), Rich (Mary) and Scott (Filomena). Grandchildren Alyson, Matthew, Tommy, Richie, Steven, Timothy, Gianna and Frankie. Great-Grandchildren Isla and Dylan and her Sister Maureen Wakeford. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, granddaughter Laura, Sisters Eileen, Jean, Kathleen, Joan and Brother Charles. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on September 28th, 2022 at St. Mary’s church, 42 Goshen Avenue,Washingtonville N.Y. A burial following funeral mass will occur at St Mary's Cemetery, 2 Fr Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, New York 10992. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation in Barbara’s name be made to the Mike Schiraldi scholarship fund C/O The Salisbury Mills Fire Company PO Box 279 Salisbury Mills, N.Y. 12577.
