On January 11, 2019 at his home in Potomac, MD. Loving husband of 67 years to Dorothy (nee Hylton). Devoted father to William J. “Joe” Preston, Jr. Born in Kermit, WV to the late James and Stella Preston (nee Patrick). Brother to the late Blanche (Leon) Young, Conrad (Mary), Clyde, James (Bootie), and John (Iva) Preston, and sister Lois (Bill) Booth. He has several nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired teacher from Montgomery County, and served honorably with the U.S. Navy in World War II. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Joseph Gawler’s Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Ave NW from 2-4 PM; and 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jewish Social Services Agency Hospice, www.jssa.org.
