Steve also worked at the fruit stand and made deliveries to restaurants and hotels in the Maryland, DC & Virginia areas. His work ethic was strongly influenced by his time working at the family business.
Steve was an Athlete and loved all sports. He was the Quarterback at Coolidge High School in Washington, DC., He also played baseball and basketball. After graduation, he attended the Wharton School of Business and earned a bachelor degree in Accounting, followed by a masters and his CPA. His career started as an intern at Bisselle, Meade and Co. where he quickly became a partner at a very young age, due to his desire to go above and beyond for his clients. He enjoyed helping businesses and people with their finances to achieve success and their goals. He remained at Bisselle, Meade & Co. for the rest of his career.
Steve was very social and loved to travel and meet new people. He was extremely charitable and generous to his friends and family, especially his church. His continued support enabled the build and growth of the current church, St. Constantine & Helen in Silver Spring, MD, after the original church moved to this location from Washington, DC. Family was everything and although he didn’t have his own children, his niece was like a daughter to him. His Grand Nephew, Brandon, was also his Godson, which he had great pride in baptizing. His other Grand Nephew, Kyle, shared his love of music. He loved watching them grow up to be the amazing young men they are today. The love of his life, Ann Rita, walked into the Parthenon restaurant in 2001 and they remained together ever since, spending 22 years together traveling, dining and supporting each other during good and bad times.
