It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Noah Tunador, who was taken from us too soon on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the age of 27. Noah was born on February 20, 1995 in Manassas, VA, and grew up in Bethesda and Cabin John, MD. Noah graduated from The Field School in Washington DC and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, after which he moved to Washington DC, where he worked in commercial construction management while living his best life with his close friends.
Noah was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many. Although not known for punctuality, he showed up for his people with loving support when it counted.
Noah was passionate about music and an avid guitar player. He saw the magic in the natural world and loved hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and more recently surfing, and any gathering involving a fire pit. Noah loved to travel, whether on a weeklong canoeing excursion through the Everglades, hiking in the Guilin mountains of mainland China, working on an organic farm on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, or on his annual trips to Vermont and the beach with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Christiana Jaeger and Timur Tunador of Cabin John, Maryland, along with his siblings, Joseph Tunador, also of Cabin John, Yasmin Tunador & Nicholas Schamens of Herndon, Virginia. He formed an instant joyful bond with his new niece Charlotte Genevieve Schamens also of Herndon, Virginia. His memory will be held close by both sets of grandparents, Helen and Tom Jaeger of Ashburn, Virginia, Barbara and Malik Tunador of Thornburg, Pennsylvania, and by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Noah was predeceased by his uncle, Tommy Jaeger, and grandmother, Greta Gilmartin Tunador.
The name Noah means “rest” or at peace, which is our wish for him now though he will be profoundly missed. Christiana, Timur, and their children wish to extend their deep gratitude to the multitude of family and friends who are supporting them at this time.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 4th, at a childhood favorite, Glen Echo Park, in the Bumper Car Pavilion located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD 20812.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to A Wider Circle (https://awidercircle.org/) or Martha’s Table (https://marthastable.org/), two worthy organizations where Noah volunteered many hours.
