Natalia Elejalde-Ruiz passed away unexpectedly as she slept on January 29, 2017, due to complications from surgery. She was 39. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Natalia lived in Hanover, N.H. and was a longtime employee at Wal-Mart. Beloved daughter of Vanessa Ruiz and Eduardo Elejalde, stepdaughter of David Birenbaum and caring sister of Alexia Elejalde-Ruiz. She is survived by all of them as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The family will be holding a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Myrtlewood Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded last year by Natalia's father to help people who are living with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
