Muriel Sculky Feldman passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Washington, D.C. Muriel was a long time Washingtonian with involvement in many D.C. organizations including volunteer service at the White House. Muriel worked for many years with Hecht Company, Saks Fifth Ave., Claire Dratch and Saks-Jandel. She was born in Port Chester, NY and was one of eleven children. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Blavatt and son-in-law Bryan: Brother Milton Sculky and wife Beth: Sister-in-laws Jeanne Sculky and Alice Summers: Cousins Irv and Estelle Jacobs. Muriel was not only a loving parent, sister and cousin, but also a beloved grandparent, great grandparent and aunt. She had two grandchildren Jay Blavatt and Stacey Perry. Four great grandchildren Henry, Max, Marti and David. Nine nieces and nephews Raymond Sculky, Ira Sculky, Bobby Sculky: Ilene Stella, Sharon Morro, Karen Summers, Ron Summers, Robert Tuckman and Vicky Tuckman. Muriel had a host of friends and neighbors. For the last 14 years, Muriel was cared for by Balla Naimbela who was more than her caregiver, he was her dear friend.
Muriel Feldman was a true lady. Always impeccable in her attire and demeanor. She was a strong and caring women, loving wife and devoted mother. Her life surrounded her daughter, family and friends. For over 30 years Muriel Feldman has been a member of Washington Hebrew Congregation. A memorial service will be held at the synagogue on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon. It is located at 3935 Malcomb Street in Northwest Washington, DC. The family will be receiving guests at Muriel’s apartment after the service. Memorials may be made to the Jewish National Fund or Temple Beth David in Spring Hill, Florida.
