Margaret Mary Collins

MARGARET M. COLLINS of Bethesda, MD, passed away on September 3, 2015. Margaret was born in Buffalo, NY and graduated from Dunbarton College of the Holy Cross in Washington, DC. She actively participated in community affairs throughout her life through her volunteer work with Washington's Higher Achievement Program, Recording for the Blind, Junior League of Washington and Smithsonian Women's Committee. Beloved wife of Daniel F. Collins; devoted mother of Matthew C. Collins, Elizabeth C. van Gestel (Marc A.); sister of John, William, Frank and Robert Heyden; grandmother of Conor H. and M. Makenzie Collins. Family will receive friends at the Chapel of St. Ignatius at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3513 N. St., NW, Washington, DC, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1315 36th St., NW, Washington, DC on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment private.
