Don had a warmth and twinkle in his eye that, for me, made the world seem nicer & safer to be in. He was my father’s pal for many years in many circumstances. 

When my fathers long illness was budding, Don would walk with him to Starbucks. They savored the simple pleasure of strong coffee  and as always, kibitzed about politics, people,  and popular culture. Over many years, they never ran out of conversation.

Don and Judy were caring, wonderful friends to  my family. 

I will always cherish Don’s warmth and kindness.

I meant Don Green 51 years ago. When I think of Don, I think of a cool cat, in his blue jeans and cowboy boots and his easy going demeanor; mellow yellow. Don and my father, Gerson, were best friends and I was lucky enough to have spent a lot of time with Don, talking about life, politics, family and everything else. Don was the most hospitable and congenial person I have ever known. He was a big teddy bear! He was also thoughtful, observant, patient and wise. Don was someone to be counted on, help out with any problems, situations at hand where he could be of assistance. I always knew that he was there for me no matter what; he proved that many times over. Don was a family man, he adored and cherished Judy, Valerie and Melissa; his grandchildren delighted him. Don was a forward thinking man with a heart of hold. I loved Don Green deeply and, I miss him…. I am heartbroken for the loss of him and, I am grateful that he was such an important part of my life.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to Don’s family on the loss of this dear man.  Nay his memory be a blessing.
