Dawn was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Donald and Bozena (Yanacek) White. After graduating from New Bedford High School, Dawn moved to Washington D.C., where she lived for over seventy years. She worked her entire career for the Trade Association for the Writing Instrument Industry (WIMA). Dawn loved living in D.C. and was an expert at navigating the city.
Dawn was a person who showed tremendous kindness and compassion and who always found the good in everyone. Despite having more than her share of hard knocks, she always had a positive outlook. She was much loved by her friends and family.
Dawn will be laid to rest in a private service in the family cemetery in Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Jacquelyn Braden and her sisters Jean Flynn (Richard) and Nancy White. She is survived by her nieces, Sara Flynn-Kramer (Doug Kramer) and Cait Breeze (Gene), both of Orlando, Florida.
