Carol Ann Campbell, 78, died October 5, 2018 at her home in Washington D.C. Carol was born November 28, 1939, in Sharpsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice E. Campbell (nee Archer), and father, Alvin R. Campbell.
Carol graduated from Sharpsburg High School, 1957, and Allegheny College, BA, in 1961. She spent her junior year at the University of Manchester, England and earned her MSW at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, 1963.
Carol worked at the California State Department of Public Health and at NIMH and NIH in Washington D.C. where she had an accomplished career.
Carol loved traveling, walking, craft fairs, farmer’s markets, blue grass music, cooking, and reading (especially cookbooks). She also loved Hugh Laurie, the actor from “House”.
She is survived by her sister, Christie Kovac, her nephew, David Kovac, and his wife Lydia, her niece, Dawn Kelley, and her dear friend and caregiver Betty Lathrop. She will not be forgotten.
