He is survived by his sister Susan Tolbert (Chip), his nieces Katelyn Tolbert and Megan Wesley (Anthony), his nephew, Matt Tolbert, and great-niece, Audree Wesley.
Michael worked for over 35 years as a licensed optician. His warm and generous spirit helping others as an optician will be deeply missed. He was patient, kind, and he loved to tell jokes and stories.
He was a huge New England sports fan and was often wearing Patriots and Red Sox attire. He watched every Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics game with excitement.
He also loved being “Uncle Mike”. He was a proud and supportive uncle who adored spending time with his nieces, nephew and new baby niece, Audree.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7pm at the Russell J. Boyle Funeral Home, located at 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick, RI. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Gregory the Great Church in Warwick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or a Charity of Choice.
