Born in Washington D.C. he was the son of the late Martin James and Ignatia (Garside) Dolan.
Lou spent 42 years in the chemical industry where he was Vice President of Sales at George Mann Chemical Company and later became the Business Development Manager at Univar USA. He was a former member of the Chemical Club of New England, Pawtuxet Athletic Club, Knight's of Columbus, and the Potowomut Country Club. He was an avid reader, enjoyed golf, dancing, and boating on Narragansett Bay.
Louis was the devoted father of the late Robert L. Dolan, Pamela J. DelliCarpini and her husband Joseph, of Hopedale MA, and Kimberly A. Duchesne and her late husband Michael, of Cranston; his adoring grandchildren, Michael Duchesne, Brian Duchesne and his wife Samantha, Megan Duchesne, Allison DelliCarpini, Craig DelliCarpini, Henry Dolan and his cherished great granddaughter Wren Duchesne. Louis also leaves his brother James G. Dolan and his wife Marilyn and was brother of the late Martin J. Dolan.
Visitation for Louis will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Russell J Boyle and Son Funeral Homes, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick, RI. His funeral will start Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mark's Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston, RI. Graveside service will follow at North Burial Ground in Bristol.

With his twinkling blue eyes, a quick wink, and a warm smile, Lou will be missed by all.
