Born in Troy, NY he was the son of the late Benedicto Viernes and Mary Anne ( Jupin ) Jotie.
Jason was a Sheriff for the State of Rhode Island before his retirement in 2018. He was an F.B.I. trained firearms instructor and an avid Marksman. Jason was also a charter member of the Wincheck Gun Club in West Greenwich as well as an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
In addition to his beloved wife Trish he leaves behind extended family in New York, California and the Philippines.
Jason was brother of the late Jeremy (Mongo) Jotie.
Jason’s quick wit, banter and companionship will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Family and friends may call Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12:00-4:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. There will be a prayer service at 3:30 pm.
