Frances Etta Fisher (Amitrano), of South Kingstown, beloved mom, Mimi, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the age of 64 surrounded by her family. Fran was born to Francis and Etta ( Palumbo ) Amitrano in Providence, Rhode Island in 1958. In her free time, Fran enjoyed painting and crafting, and spending time with her friends, family, and their beloved pets. Of all the roles she played throughout her life, Fran most enjoyed being a mother to her three girls, and a Mimi to her two granddaughters.
In the nursing home where she resided for many years, Fran was known as a perpetual jokester and as someone who gave as much care as she received. Although she was plagued by health issues for most of her life, she never let them stop her from living. Some of her family’s favorite memories of her include trips to Hobby Lobby, painting with her granddaughters, game nights at Christmas, spa days with her sisters and daughters, and snuggles with her granddogs. She will be remembered by those she loved for her mommy hugs, her colorful language, her silliness and her big, spirited laugh.
Frances leaves her three daughters; Maria Pommenville and her husband John of Richmond, Rhode Island; Stephanie Fisher of Warwick, Rhode Island; and Kayla Fisher of Mississippi. She also leaves two granddaughters, Sienna and Jenevieve; her three sisters Dolores Monroe, Angela Fried, and Mary-Ann Macintosh; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will start on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Rita’s Church, 722 Oakland Beach Ave, Warwick, followed by a burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours in the Funeral Home are from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
