Carmine DiPietro Sr., age 94, of North Providence, Rhode Island passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Albina A. ( Mancini ) DiPietro. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late Carlo and Mary ( Rao ) DiPietro.
Mr DiPietro served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge Carmine attended Providence College where he received a Bachelors in Chemistry. He worked as a chemist for U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center, Natick MA. and retired from the Narragansett Bay Commision in Providence. Carmine liked golf, bocce and playing pool and was an avid reader of history, chemistry and physics books.
Mr DiPietro leaves two sons, Michael J. DiPietro and his wife Cindy of Warwick, and Carmine DiPietro, Jr., of Johnston, a daughter, Deborah A. DiPietro, of Cranston, two grandchildren, Michael J. DiPietro, Jr., and Daniel DiPietro, Sr., and his great grandson Daniel DiPietro, Jr. He also leaves his three sisters, Margherite Garrahy, Annette Thibodeau and Theresa D'Ordine. Carmine was brother of the late Pasquelina Caliri, Salvatore DiPietro, Carlo DiPietro and Joseph DiPietro. He was also the proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Cedar Crest Nursing Home for the outstanding care they provided Carmine, especially Ingrid, Lizzie and Jhenifer. Funeral from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick will be Monday, July 22 at 9:15 am. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with full military honors will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Sunday 4:00-7:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick.
