Born on February 4, 1935 in Boston, MA a son of Guido and Caroline (Carbone) DeNinno he was a longtime resident of Bristol, RI.
He attended school in Everett, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts and Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in mechanical engineering respectively.
He began his career with New England Division Army Corp of Engineers and the U. S. Army Material Command. He spent most of his professional career with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport as a system engineer and program manager where he received a presidential commendation for improved design of submarine torpedoes. He was a registered professional engineer in the State of Massachusetts.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church, he was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #1860 in Bristol, RI and enjoyed visiting other countries all over the world with Annette.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Joanne Wheeler and her husband Mark of Oro Valley, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
His Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol.
