Born in Fall River, the son of the late Norman A. Manchester Sr. and Elsie R. (Rego-Sousa) Manchester. He was a lifelong Truck Driver. He worked for RIPTA Transit, as a diesel mechanic prior to retirement. Once retired, with his passion for restoring Antique cars and building hot rods, he started “Ace’s Hot Rod Shop”. He enjoyed drag racing, Jet skiing and spending time with his family. He was an elite Rough and Ready, Engine 5 yearly Clambake attendee.
Norman is survived by his former wife, Marie A. (Cavallaro) Manchester; two sons, Norman A. Manchester III and his wife Kimberly of Rehoboth and Louis A. Manchester of Warren; a daughter Lee Ann Manchester and Dereck Gensel of Warren; two sisters Faith Frances and her husband Jeffrey and Sandra Davock and her husband William of Warren; five grandchildren, Kaytlin, Rebecca, Norman IV, Louis Jr., and Nicholas; three great-grandchildren, Kyliee, Ava and Aaliyah; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 8:00AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Avenue, Warren.
