Marie J. Rogers

Born in Boston, MA a daughter of the late John Thomas and the late Jenny Mae (Davis) Marine she was a lifelong resident of the Eastbay.

A communicant of St. Jean the Baptiste and St. Mary of the Bay Parishes she was a member of the Leisure Women’s Group of St. Jean the Baptiste. A volunteer at the Kickemuit Senior Center she taught knitting and crochet. She enjoyed many different types of arts and crafts and traveling. She donated two Afghans each year to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research and the Warren Fire Department.

She is survived by one son, Daniel J. Rogers and his wife Linda; one daughter, Marie J. Ferreira and her husband Robert; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Benjamin, Anthony and John Marine and Margaret Marshall, Josephine Gama, Sadie Mazur and Dorothy Marine.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 8:30 – 9:30 am in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St., Warren.
