John Correia

John Correia, 72 of Warren, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015. He was the loving husband of Maria Piedade (Alves) Correia, to whom he was married to for 53 years. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao and the late Maria (Pacheco) Correia.

John had served in the military in Sao Miguel. He was a self-employed master carpenter for over 50 years. He had also been involved with various organizations in RI and MA.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Mary Borges and her husband Rui; Louis M. Correia and his wife Delia and Elizabeth Torry and her husband Jay; brother, John M. Correia; sisters, Ana Maria Simoes, Tina Putt and Esmeralda Botelho; and grandchildren, Kristopher, Nathan, Katarina and Sofia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St., Warren. Visitation, Thursday 4-6 PM, Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home.
