Hope H. Hurdis Wilhelm

WILHELM, HOPE H., 89, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013.  She was the wife of the late Kurt E. Wilhelm.  Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edgar B. and Henrietta (Anderson) Hurdis.

Mrs. Wilhelm was a communicant of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Warren and a member of the Massasoit Historical Society and the Bristol Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She was also a dedicated volunteer for the Rhode Island Chapter of The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

She is survived by her sons, Kurt Andrew, Paul, Mark, Peter, Richard and John Wilhelm; her sister, Harriet Robertson; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Gertrude Hall, General C. Everett, Edgar B. Jr., Milton, John, Frank and William Hurdis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2 PM in St. Matthews Church, 5 Chapel Rd., Barrington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to NAMI-RI, 154 Waterman St., Suite 5b, Providence, RI 02906.
