A communicant of St Alexander's Church, Fred served as Chairman/Board Member of their Italian Festivals for over a decade building booths and creating games that are still in use today. He led youth groups, macaroni dinners, bazaars and fundraising events for the church. For many years, Fred was Cub Scout Master for Warren’s Pack 49. He and his wife Gerrie were named Marshals of the Neighborhood Division in Warren's 250th Anniversary parade. Together they co-founded Sisters in Survival, a nonprofit group raising over $100,000 for Woman & Infants Oncology research. Fred served on the Warren Planning Board, the Warren Housing Authority and as Chairman of the Warren Board of Canvassers.
