Wally was the beloved husband of Rose Audrey. Dear father of Holly (Mike) Wojcik, Donna (Joe) Cilia, Stephen (Jessica) Cieslinski, Laura (Steven) Gowland, and the late Andy Cieslinski. Loving grandfather of Anthony, Shelby, Rachel, Rebecca, Jacob, David, Sarah, Dylan, and Aiden.
Wally was a man of deep faith, with a love for God and his country. He proudly served for 3 three years in the United States Army. His marriage of 58 years was one of selfless devotion to his wife and five children. He was a true patriarch who taught his kids the meaning of hard work, love of family and prayerful commitment to God. He was a great listener and loved to share his life experiences with his family at the cottage. His fireside chats, moonlit cruises on the pontoon, enjoying adult beverages, playing games and walking the grand-dogs will be fondly remembered.
Wally had many interests and hobbies over the years which included bowling leagues, fishing and camping trips, softball teams, golfing, fixing cars and just about anything else that was broken. He had a love/hate relationship with his beloved Detroit Lions where he was a member of the chain crew for 33 years. He was also a devoted and “enthusiastic” spectator for his grandchildren’s sporting events. Wally was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty and dedication in every aspect of his life.
Although our hearts are broken, we must remember that he is in a better place, with Andy and the family and friends who have gone before him. Most of all, he will be with Jesus, our loving Lord and Savior. He was truly loved by many and will be greatly missed.
