Virginia I. Saldana, 71, of Romeo died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. Virginia grew up in Warren, graduating from Lincoln High School, class of 55. She spent her married life raising her children in Eastpointe. When in her 50s, Virginia graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in business. At the age of 65 years old she proudly retired from TACOM as a buyer. In 2002 she moved out to Romeo. Virginia enjoyed writing short stories about her family. They were her strongest passion. She loved gardening, sewing, reading and music. She had a cottage on Lake Huron where she loved to go swimming. Virginia is survived by her children, Donna (Jim) Mitts, Karl (Millie), Kurt (Kathleen) and Diane (Robert) Lutch; grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron) Acuna, Colleen, Adam, Kristen and Sarah Lutch; and siblings, Eunice Kang, Clara Summerfield and John Conley. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Irene Conley. Visitation for Virginia will be Friday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). A rosary will be recited Friday at 7:00 pm. Closing prayers will take place Saturday at 12:15 pm, followed by a funeral Mass at 1:00 pm at St. Clement Catholic Church, Center Line.
