Teresa M. Pastuszka

Teresa M. Pastuszka (nee Betleja), age 63, passed away on September 24, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald and the loving mother of Elizabeth Pastuszka and Guy Pastuszka. Teresa took great pride in being the proud grandmother of Vincent Nierman. She was a cherished sister to Richard Betleja and Christopher Betleja and held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews: Jon, Tiffany, Brittany, Courtney, Jenny, Jason, Amy, Kelly, Alex, Kristoff, Edward, and Joseph. She was also a great aunt to Willow, Ella, Chase, Cameron, Reese, George, and Charlie.

Teresa was born in Hamtramck to Adam and Sophie Betleja (nee Strug) and graduated with pride from St. Florian High School in 1978. Throughout her life, she went out of her way to go above and beyond helping people when she worked at Henry Ford and Macomb Community College. In any situation, she found a way to relate to people on a personal level and had a positive impact on the lives of every person she met.

Her passions included tennis, golf, watersports, and traveling with her late husband, exploring destinations such as upstate New York, Mexico, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, and Florida. She had a deep love for animals and cherished her time with them. Her greatest joy came from attending her grandson's concerts and sharing in his accomplishments.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 3pm to 8pm, with a Rosary at 6pm, at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. On Saturday, September 30, 2023, Teresa will be in state at 12pm until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12:30pm at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 12 Mile Road in Warren. Teresa's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
