Stephen P. Davis was born on September 6, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the fourth child born to Nora Davis, who procedeth him in death.
He graduated from Finney High School in 1988. After graduating from Finney High School, Stephen’s journey began at Wayne State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in December of 2005.
Stephen was loved very much by his friends and family. He loved them as well. One of his friends that he met in 2003, Tisha, became the love of his life. After dating, he knew she was the one he wanted to call his wife. So, on September 10, 2011, they began their journey as one. Their journey was filled with lots of love. From sitting at home enjoying each other watching television, to traveling up north to South Haven, Michigan, or across the world to Paris, France and Italy.
Stephen had many jobs he added to his resume. From McDonald’s on Harper and Cadieux—he wanted to go to McDonald’s Big University, but Terri said no—to being a Librarian Assistant at Wayne County Community College. Steve loved to read; one of his favorite writers was Stephen King growing up. To being a Juvenile Detention Specialist at Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility, where he was once employee of the month. He was also a Case Worker at South Oakland Shelter, as well as a Placement Specialist for Renaissance C.S.C. Federal Half Way House, where he was the first specialist for the State of Michigan under the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Stephen was also an instructor at Baker College, where he taught criminal justice classes. His last job, and where his resume ended, was as a Probation and Parole Supervisor for the State of Michigan Department of Correction for eighteen years.
Stephen made his transition on Monday, July 8, 2024 where he left this side of Heaven to go to the other side of Heaven. He was welcomed by his mother, Nora Davis, whom he missed dearly, and his older sister Donna Kay.
Stephen leaves to cherish is memories his wife, Tisha Walt-Davis; his three sisters, Janice, Carolyn, and Wanda; two nieces, Victoria, and Ashley; two great nieces, A’Iyonna and Ashira; two great nephews, Amari and Emmual; extended family, Matthew and Cindy, and nephew Logan; and a host of family and friends.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093. A visitation will occur Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.
Stephen will be laid to rest in Detroit Memorial Park, 4280 E. Thirteen Mile Road, Warren, Michigan 48092.
