Stanislaw Pikos, age 81 of Warren, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at his home. Stanislaw was born June 06, 1925 in Blaszkowa, Poland the son of the late Peter Pikos and the late Maria (nee: Ziemba) Pikos. Mr. Pikos came to United States in July of 1951. He settled in Detroit and raised his family. He moved to Warren in 1971 and resided in the same home until his death. Mr. Pikos worked as a baker first for the Silver Cup Baking Company and then would eventually retire from the Wonder Bread Company of Detroit. Stanislaw loved to tend to his garden and tinker with things around his home. When he was not home he could be found dancing, socializing, and talking with all people. He had many friends whom he enjoyed going out to dance or walk with, however he primarily loved life and his family. Mr. Pikos was the beloved husband of the late Emilia who passed away July 10, 1997. He is the dear father of Stan (Linda) Pikos, Anna (Casimir) Przybylski, Christina Cook, Janet Pikos, and Barbara (Harry) Ratliff. Loving grandfather of Matthew (Laura) Pikos, Bridget Pikos, Andrea (Brian) Martin, Cass (Laura) Przybylski, Christy (David) McGurn, Jason (Ula) Cook, Kimberly (Rob) Pikos, John (Angela) Pikos, Christopher (Amy) Pikos, Kevin (Diana) Ratliff, and Brett Ratliff. Brother of Janusz Pikos of Poland. Loving great-grandfather of ten. Also survived by three nephews of Chicago. Visitation for Stanislaw will be Wednesday from 5-9:00 pm with a evening Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). Mr. Pikos will lie in State Thursday 10:00 am, until the time of the Funeral Mass 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 11200 Twelve Mile in Warren. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations appreciated to the St. John Hospice, American Diabetic Association, or American Cancer Society.
