Beloved wife of Steve for 61 years. Loving mother of Michele (John) Brozanski and Todd (Wendy) Hipsky. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Stephanie and Mackenzie Henke and Liam and Nolan Hipsky. Dear sister of the late Richard (Carol) Greenberg . Predeceased by her parents Helen and William Greenberg.
She was the ultimate grandma, always ready to spoil her grandchildren with crafts, homemade snacks, movie marathons, and the joy of baking Christmas cookies, a family tradition she treasured. Throughout her life, Sherry was a voracious reader, especially fiction novels, and was known for her love of gardening, nurturing vibrant red geraniums, hostas, and many other flowers. She and Steve enjoyed spending their free time together, whether at home, camping with their children, or at their beloved cottage on Houghton Lake. The lake was a special place for Sherry, where friends and family would gather for boating and relaxation.
Sherry and Steve took many vacations together, visiting places like the Mammoth Caves, Gatlinburg, and Washington DC. They took trips to Disneyworld before and after grandchildren with extended family.
Sherry married the love of her life, Steve Hipsky, and their 61 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other and their family. Looking back at their lives together, they often recounted having everything from a beautiful family to a life built on tremendous love and happiness. Sherry will be dearly missed by all who survive her.
