Sharon Ann Wells

Sharon A. Wells, age 58, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born September 16, 1958 in Pontiac to Evelyn and the late Jesse Wells.As a young girl, Sharon grew up in what was then the thriving automobile town in Oakland County called Pontiac. She attended Pontiac Public Schools and then went right to work for General Motors where she began her career at the storied Pontiac Truck & Bus Plant. Eventually, GM would eliminate jobs as the demand for their commercial vehicles dwindled. Sharon would be unemployed for a short time, but then would find another job with GM working for their Service Parts Operation (SPO) on Williams Lake Road in Waterford. She continued there until health challenges forced her into an early retirement.Sharon was a people person, her favorite thing to do was simply share conversation other people. It was the quiet, get-to-know-you type of conversations that she coveted the most. When she was not engrossed in conversation with family or friends, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Sharon was the beloved daughter of Evelyn F. and the late Jesse F. Wells. Dear sister of Florida Parks-Wickliff, Alvis (Denise) Wells, Dale (Karen) Wells, and Ricky Wells. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial gathering in the coming weeks. Please contact the family for details.Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S.
