Sandra Moninski Gosik

Sandra M. Gosik, age 62 of Fraser, Michigan, died Monday, June 27, 2016. She was born January 1, 1954 in Detroit, daughter of the late Thaddeus and the late Eugenia (nee: Kalita) Moninski.A loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, Sandi was the glue that bound both her immediate and extended family together. A graduate of St's. Cyril and Methodius High School, she embarked on a number of employment challenges, the most recent being with the Rochester Telemessaging Center until advancing illness forced her into retirement. However, her most beloved vocation was that of mother to her two children, Danny and Linda. Along with her late sister, Christine, Sandra placed a high value on relationships with her extended family and could always be counted on to reach out to her brothers; nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the repository of all the secret family recipes which, on special occasions, she would share upon request.. In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed reading and adult coloring books. Sandra enjoyed the older black and white movies, as well as the sound of the 1960's and 70's country music. Sandra was addicted to computer games, especially angry birds (an addiction shared by millions of people). Summertime would bring two of her most favorite outside events; classic car shows and local craft shows. The summer and fall time craft shows would fuel Sandra's need and passion for shopping.Sandra was the beloved wife of William and dearest mother of Linda (Allen) Koehler-Ward and the late Daniel Koehler Jr. She was loved by her brothers Ted and Mark Moninski, their spouses, children and grandchildren. Visitation for Sandra will be held Thursday, June 30th from 3 -9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren.
