Dear Melanie, Mary, Grace, and all of the Twomey Family,
 At our Sunday morning Mass today, we were so saddened to hear of the recent passing of Rory. As organist, i had the pleasure of working with Rory, Seth, and Johnfrancis several times over the past few years as we did music together at St. Michael's / Annunciation of the Lord in Port Austin. What a joyful song to the Lord they sang, and what a joy it was to work with Rory and his brothers. We so appreciated them sharing their music and prayerfulness with us. May Rory now rest in the gentle embrace of the Lord. Please know that our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you in the days ahead. May God's love and peace surround you. My heartfelt condolences to this family. Although I have never met Rory my son Chris has told me what a good man he was and he loved his family.

My wife, Jill and I got to know Rory when we attended St. Josaphat church, where we sang with him in the choir, and I in the schola. During that time, I came to know him as a kind, soft-spoken man with an understated sense of humor, as well as a devoted husband, father,and an upstanding Catholic gentleman who loved and served his Lord and His Church. I liked him a lot, and will miss him. My condolences.

Rory is going to be missed by all whom he had a pleasure of knowing going to miss Rory outside always planting his flowers and cleaning his back yard

It has been a pleasure to know Rory. Like a really good movie that you never want to end, we watched as he took a hud home and made it a little oasis in the city. We watched as he started and raised a little family being a patient and loving father, and truly in love with his wife. Rory fixed our mailbox one day after someone hit it. He never said anything until we asked days later, he did it because he could and it needed to be done. I remember him coming home after midnight and dig trenches for drainage all around his yard and building up flower beds with mulch and dirt, because this time wouldn't take away from time with his family. His faith was real, and we had many conversations over the years about faith and God and what we should do as Christians. He is surely in heaven, and I thank God for giving us a shining example of how to live. We should all be Rorys.

Rory was my friend. He was a good man, with a big heart. He was hard working and driven. As a leader, he never asked more of a person than he was willing to do himself. He was a good Christian, and a good Christian example. I know he adored his family and his extended family. He was a good family man. He and I spent many nights talking. I will miss our conversations, and I will miss my friend. May God bless you and keep you as you rest dear friend, and may God bless and keep your family until you see them again. Some candles don't need to burn as long, because while they're here, they're determined to shed the most light.

I feel fortunate to have known Rory. I really enjoyed times we got to chat up in Port Austin or any number of gatherings. He was so knowledgeable, interesting and opinionated! He was all around a great guy and will be missed!

Mrs. Twomey, it came to me sad news about your lost and I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you, your children and all family members. May the soul of your beloved husband be at peace with our Heavenly Father.

Rory was a bright man whom is going to be missed by all it was a true blessing to have Rory in are life's. God has a new angel rest in peace to you Rory going to miss seeing you leave for work and yelling hey Rory. We're going to help Melaine take care of your lovely girls

I am very distraught over the unexpected passing of Rory Twomey. In the short time I have known Rory, he was one of the most inspirational, positive and kindest person I have met. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his wife, children, family and friends.

I was so shocked and saddened to learn this news. Melanie, Sara, Emily, John Francis, Seth and all of Rory's family, may God be with you during this difficult time. 

I have so many wonderful memories from childhood growing up as cousins. Rory was my cool older cousin, and he had a great way of including everyone in the fun and conversation. He is such a special soul.

Rory helped install our new porch and patio. He was such a nice man. I enjoyed talking with him about life. My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Rory's friends and family.

Dear Melanie, 
 Words cannot express our sorrow for the loss of your dear Rory. You have always held a special place in our hearts and have brought much joy and happiness into our lives. You have been great witnesses to all in your walk of faith.
 Together with Mary and Grace, you have placed God first in your lives, thus reigning blessings down on all of the people you have encountered. Rory's legacy is his faith, his family and his friends. He was a true and faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.

I remember Rory best from childhood summer days in Port Austin. He and his family are in my prayers, especially during this difficult time. God bless.

I knew there was something special about Rory the moment I met him. His positive attitude was accompanied by an intense ambition and desire to push everyone to be the best version of themselves. He was a true leader and a source of inspiration. I am grateful for the opportunities I had to work with him, to travel with him and to just converse with him about life in general. I am proud to be able to call Rory a friend.

Rory was in my chemistry class at Mary Help of Christians Academy in Warren, Michigan in 1994-1995. He was an excellent student and a friendly and respectful young man. I have never forgotten him. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, parents, and siblings and all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

Rory was a huge inspiration on my work life and will be deeply missed. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My prayers for the happy repose of Rory's soul and for his family. When Rory was in high school he was one of my students - and a very good one at that.

Rory always entered a room, or pulled a chair up to a bonfire, and welcomed everyone! We all wanted to get into the circle where he and others were discussing history, science, religion, fishing, sports and, most recently, managing people in his office. Rory will be missed by all of us that are left behind and we will work very hard to earn our place near him and our Lord Jesus Christ! 
We are blessed to have Melanie, Mary and Grace in our lives!

Dear Melanie, Sara, Don, Emily, Jonfrancis, Seth et al, our hearts are with you at this time. We all love Rory and all of you. He amazed me many a time and I'll never forget the look of wonder when he held new baby Tim when we brought him over to the house in Ferndale. I think he and Melanie were engaged then. I thought to myself that he would be a great father. And so he was. Take consolation that your separation is only temporary and even now he's only a prayer away.
