Born in Nanty-Glo, Pennsylvania to the late John and Ethel Morgan, Ron was dedicated to his family, and his church family who he considered family, throughout his entire life. A longtime member of the church choir for his love for singing and commitment to his faith, Ron was a member of Faith Baptist Church for 24 years. Ron was a veteran and served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He also greatly enjoyed war movies and military nostalgia that reminded him of his time in the service. Ron worked at National Life & Accident Insurance Company as an Insurance Salesman until retirement. In his free time, Ron could be found mowing the lawn and tending to the flowers and weeds from time to time. The kids would often refer to the garden as “dad’s garden” even though everyone knew it was a team effort between himself and his son-in-law John to keep the garden in full bloom. An avid model car collector and classic car enthusiast, Ron’s classic, or at least what he considered classic, cars lined up in the driveway were his pride and joy only second to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
