Regina Veronica Laskowski

Regina Veronica Laskowski, age 93, a resident of Warren, Michigan since 1979, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Regina was born November 18, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Stefan Wawrzyniak and the late Stella (nee: Izydorek) Wawrzyniak.Regina was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Florian Catholic High School. Following her schooling she worked in a dental office as an assistant to the dentist along with handling many of the day-to-day clerical duties.As a young woman, Regina would meet the love of her life, Alfred Laskowski, and the two eventually married and raised a beautiful family together. Regina and Alfred raised four children in a loving home. Mrs. Laskowski was a wonderful cook and homemaker, and also enjoyed her time outdoors tending to her garden and flowers, especially when Mother Nature would play her beautiful music as she whistled through the wind chimes. Outside of her home, Regina had many dear friends with whom she enjoyed playing cards and socializing. Additionally, she found great joy in taking day trips to visit the local casinos and giving Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money. Quiet times and slower paced moments included needlepoint and crafting. Her greatest joy and accomplishment came in the form of her family, especially through her and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her cherished family and friends.Mrs. Laskowski was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Laskowski, and the loving mother of Duane (Sharon) Laskowski, Bryan (Karen) Laskowski, the late David Laskowski, and the late Kathy Karney. She was the mother in-law of Jane Laskowski and Victor Karney. Devoted grandmother of Derek (Marisa) Laskiowski, Christopher (Katrina) Karney, Megan (Luke) Gumper, Lauren Karney (fiancé, Greg), Joshua Laskowski, Jacob Laskowski, and Molly Laskowski. Dearest great-grandmother of Aiden, Kennedy, Cash, Sonny, Vanessa, and sister of Alex (the late Claire) Wawrzyniak, the late Emily (Rudy) Rutkowski, and the late Richard (Celia) Wawrzyniak. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Please share memories of Mrs. Laskowski at her memory book above.
