Raymond Ralston, age 81 of Warren, died Tuesday June 4, 2013 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Raymond was born on July 21, 1931 in Lonaconing, Maryland, son of the late John and the late Jean (nee: Creighton) Ralston.He was raised in Maryland and later served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War having achieved the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Ralston returned to Maryland following his military service and went on to Frostburg State Teachers, where he received his Bachelors Degree, and later moved to West Virginia University to attain a Masters Degree.Mr. Ralston worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a field agent. He served on assignment in several states before being transferred to Mount Clemens Michigan, and later would finish his career as the Supervisor of Counter Terrorism in the Detroit Michigan office in 1982. Following his career with the FBI Mr. Ralston worked in the private investigations practice for many more years before fully retiring.When he was not working he stayed very active... He was a lifetime member of the Masons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and especially his weekly card games with his best buddies and friends.Raymond Ralston is the beloved husband of Mary Jane (nee: Farrell). He is the dear father of Catherine (Rick) Zasadny and James (Jodi). Loving grandfather of Brandon, William (Corinna), Ashley, Matthew, Kyle, Allyssa, and great-grandfather of Isaac. Brother of John Murray Ralston and Colleen (the late William) Andrews, and the late Jean Watts. Visitation for Raymond will be held on Thursday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. His Funeral Service will be conducted Friday 11:30am at the funeral home.
