Paul Fredrick Farhat age 70, died May 12, 2013 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Paul was born February 16, 1943 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late Fredrick and Lena Farhat.Paul was raised in Detroit and attended Pershing High School before joining the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton in California. Paul served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from service June 20, 1964 as a Lance Corporal.Following his service to his country Paul returned to California where he worked for Coats & Clark textile company in their shipping and receiving department. After more than ten years in California Paul returned to Michigan to be closer to his family. He worked for Chrysler Motors and various automobile suppliers during his years of employment before retiring.When Paul was not working he was a voracious reader... he would read just about any book published. In addition to reading Paul enjoyed fishing, writing poetry and music. His family remembers a sweet and generous man with a kind soul.Surviving Paul is his dear siblings, Pauline Albers, and Dennis (Donna) Farhat. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and loving family members. Visitation for Mr. Farhat will be Saturday from 3pm until the time of the funeral services 7pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 1/2 mile). Officiating the funeral services will be Rev. Pastor Duane Nelson. Interment with full military honors will be held on Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Please share memories of Paul at his guest book.
