Beloved wife of the late Eugene (2003). Dearest mother of Rosemarie (Allan) Jankowski, Michael, Walter, and Teresa "Terri" (Anders) Gustafson. Grandmother to Lori (Eric) Ferrington, Jessica (Chris) Holtz, Olivia, Grace, William, Sofia, and Greta. Great-Grandmother to Cora, Charlie, Theo, and Avery. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Martha Zielinski; brothers Joseph and James; sisters Mitzi (Jerry) Pilat, and Judith (Joe) Ambrozy.
Patsy grew up in Detroit, graduating from St. Anthony High School and received a B.S. degree from the University of Detroit and Teaching Certification in Business Education. She married Eugene A. Kulesza on July 6, 1957. Eugene was a Lieutenant Jr. Grade in the USNR stationed in Pensacola, Florida where they established their first home. In July 1959, they returned to Detroit with their daughter, Rosemarie, and bought their first home in Warren, Michigan.
Patsy started bowling in her sophomore year of high school and continued to bowl in various leagues for over 50 years. She served as past president of the Active Christian Women's Club at St. Martin de Porres Church. She was a member of the American Polish Century Club Auxiliary for over 40 years and also served on many committees and recording secretary.
Patsy loved music and loved to sing! She was a member of the St. Dorothy and St. Martin de Porres choirs. She enjoyed spending time in Florida and at her summer cottage, including gardening at both homes. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her friends playing cards.
Visitation for Patsy will be held on Monday, July 29th from 3-9pm with a 4pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. She will lie In State on Tuesday, July 30th from 9am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Patsy's name are appreciated to either the American Institute of Cancer Research, the Humane Society of Macomb, or to the Fr. Solanus Casey-Capuchin Soup Kitchen. (See links below).
