Norma L. Demmers

Norma retired from the South Macomb Hospital after 20 dedicated years as a housekeeper. She was an incredibly talented artist. She would crochet scarves, blankets, mittens, and even Barbie clothes for her children. She shared her talents by teaching any grandchild who wanted to learn her crocheting techniques. Once she got to the point where she could no longer crochet herself she turned to coloring beautiful pictures. Game night with the family was always an exciting event. As a champion of Scrabble, Norma was almost undefeated and her kids would team up to try to win. When the kids were younger, she would gather up all the neighborhood children and put together baseball teams where she would pitch for their games. She was a Star Trek fan and enjoyed watching ice skating and hockey on television.

Norma is the beloved mother of Sue Kracht, the late Mark Demmers, Cheryl (Dave) Szymanski, Jeff Demmers, John Demmers, and the late James (Kathy) Demmers. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Scott) Huffman, Stephanie (Justin) Marberg, Melanie (Dan) Brumley, Chrissy Szymanski, James Szymanski, Christina (Dalibor) Stolevski, Joseph (Jenna) Demmers, Angela Demmers and Olivia Demmers. Treasured great grandmother of Ethan, Mya, Dimitri, Santiago, Lincoln, Evelyn, & Ivar. Dear sister of the late Joe Rudy.

A visitation for Norma will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home.
