Napoleon Hill, age 91 of Warren, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, a resident of the Villa at City Center Healthcare Facility in Warren. Napoleon Hill was born September 22, 1924 in Decatur, Alabama, to James G. Hill and Hannah (nee: Reed) Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Shirley; his son, George; his daughter, Doris Jean Hill; and his siblings, Willie Lee, Elizabeth Fitzgerald, and James Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister's Josephine Brown and Ruth Coleman; his grandson, Deran Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members. There was so much about life that Napoleon enjoyed, but none-so-much as the joy he found in the apple of his eye, Shirley. She swept him off his feet,…and eventually met him down the aisle as the two become one and began their life together as husband & wife. Napoleon's life was truly centered around his bride, and the honeymoon never wore off. He loved her immensely, and now goes to join her once again. Napoleon's life was full of wonderful family times, moments spent making memories with the ones he loved the most. One of these often visited moments were when he and Moses (his best friend & brother-in-law) would engage in their heated arguments (debates) about most anything,…with their favorite being the subject of baseball. Many of his other favorite family memories included the times spent with his nieces and nephews, sharing in what they were doing,…and always mindful of not making one seem better than the others. They never ceased to fill their uncle with considerable pride. Napoleon also believed in hard work. He was brought up with the sound and basic principles of being dedicated to what you bring to the table, and always doing your best. Yet the most vital of all his traits is in how much he stressed the importance of family and friends. It was the reason behind what living was all about, and he did his utmost to leave an impact upon the hearts and souls entrusted to his care.A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Napoleon leaves a legacy of love as special as the man he was,…and one to be embraced with each reflection shared. He touched a multitude of lives throughout his life's journey, and leaves a treasure trove of memories to be revisited often. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Arrangements for Napoleon have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren. Please share memories of Napoleon at his memory book above.
