Nancy was the youngest of her three siblings (John, Lillian and Mary) and missed them all. Nancy talked about how they would all reunite in heaven and couldn’t wait to see her mom and dad. However, it was her Danny that she spoke of most often and was excited to meet up with him and dance!
Nancy and Dan married in 1959, raised four children in Detroit and started several of their own businesses. Nancy chose to stay home caring for her children and pets. She also took care of all the bookkeeping for D and N Distributors and The Groove Shoppe. As an empty nester, she spent her time working retail for Hudson’s Department Store until retiring and visiting her granddaughters.
Her greatest joy, later in life were her 5 granddaughters. Nancy was always talking about all the fun they had and looked forward to hearing from them, seeing them and spending time with them.
Nancy was very grateful for her personal caregivers LaTonya and Maya, her other “daughters” Kymia and Janice, as well as all her PALS who loved and cared for her at Belmont Village Chicago.
Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Daniel S. Wietek; devoted mother of Camille Goldberg, Kimberly Griffin, Daniel Wietek and Anthony Wietek. Appreciative mother-in-law of Bruce Goldberg and Bruce Griffin. Adoring Nana of Madi and Mallory Griffin, Makayla Wietek, Mia and Hanna Goldberg. Loving Aunt, friend and neighbor to many.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.
Nancy will be laid to rest privately at White Chapel Cemetery.
