Michael "Mike" Marcel Dewitte

Born to Marcel and the late Margorie Dewitte. At the time of his passing, Mike served as Vice President of Sales Automotive at KUKA Robotics US. Mike began his career as a floor sweeper and worked his way up the corporate ladder which spanned over 38 years. He was a member of the Belgian American Century Club since 1981.

Mike is survived by his adoring wife of 16 years Kelly. His father Marcel Dewitte and the late Margorie Dewitte. Loving father of Samantha (Michael) Wilson, the late Ashley Dewitte and Abbey Dewitte. Cherished brother of Jeffrey (Carol) Dewitte. Devoted uncle of Chelsea (Zachary) Smigiels, Jeffrey Dewitte Jr., Joshua (Heather) Spencer, Tonya McQueen, Jodi McQueen, and the late Camie (Brett) Jacobs. Caring son-in-law of the late Margot “Peg” McQueen. Dear brother-in-law to Brenda Spencer, and the late Tab (Cheryl) McQueen. Also much-loved by cousin (sister by choice) Cynthia Dewitte (John Vanek).

Mike made friends everywhere he went. He always showed up whether it was to lend a hand or celebrate a special occasion. A larger than life personality, his energy filled a room! Mike had knack for connecting with people, always remembering details about them, their family, their interest and their boat.

His family and friends, career at KUKA and boating were the biggest parts of Mike’s life. His boat “White Knight” was always out on Lake St. Clair or the Great Lakes on a sunny day. Some of the happiest memories of Mike’s life were out on the water cracking jokes and telling stories. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend, Mike will be missed deeply by all who survive him.

Visitation Sunday December 17th 2023 from 4 pm until 8 pm with a 6pm eulogy service at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Mike will lie instate Monday, December 18th from 11:30am until time of Funeral Service at 12 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. Mike will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI. Memorial donations to Gleaners Community Food Bank, 2131 Beaufait, Detroit, MI 48207, are appreciated.
