Michael was born in Asheville, North Carolina and moved with his family back to Michigan when he was a toddler. He was a 2003 graduate of Madison Heights High School where he wrestled, played on the football team and was in the band his senior year. Michael was a CNC machinist working with his father, Carl at RTS for about 15 years.
Michael was an avid reader, gamer, and collector of graphic novels and comics. He was a creative and intellectual deep thinker, always willing to discuss and debate a wide range of topics. Michael loved to write, listened to all genres of music, and dabbled in playing the guitar at home. Most of all, Michael cherished his current dog Bruno and his previous fur-baby Leroy, who pre-deceased him. Michael will forever be remembered for his kindness, his need to help others, his gentle soul and, last but not least, his sarcastic wit and humor. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally by his loving family and friends.
Michael was the beloved son of Sheryl (Deena Jeffs) Garbarino and Carl (Julie Ann) Garbarino. Loving father of Angel and Destiny Bartley. Cherished brother of Jessica (Ian) Isman, Makenna Garbarino, and Anthony Garbarino. Dear grandson of Gloria Willie and Roger & Angie Garbarino. Adored fur-dad of Bruno. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael was predeceased by his dog Leroy.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, April 14th from 3-9pm with a 6pm Prayer Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.
