Mauri R. Rose, age 81, of Warren, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Beloved husband of Mickey Rose; cherished father of Scott (Jenny) Rose and Wendy (Brad) Santo; loving grandfather of Sophia Rose, Ella Rose, the late Brendan Santo, and Hailey Santo; and dear brother of the late Dori (the late Richard) Mountain.
Mauri was a drag racer, 1/4 mile straight away, for too many years to remember; and in his younger days, he could be found cruising Woodward.
Mauri loved to tell a story! Some of them, more than once, some, every time you saw him. He could, also, make you laugh like no one else.
Above all, Mauri was a family man. He was a very thoughtful and caring husband. Never forgot an anniversary or how many years he and Mickey were married. He loved his children, and was always available for them when needed. He coached their basketball and baseball teams for years. He came to the games and recitals for the grandkids. Whether it was baseball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, basketball, lacrosse or dance - he just wanted to watch them do their thing. He would always give them a fist pump, and wait for them to return one back to him. When a friend would call him, he would always talk about his kids and grandkids, whether they asked or not. Mauri will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial visitation for Mauri will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at D. S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. A celebration of life service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
