Mary Wagner

Mary is the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Frank Wagner. Loving mother of Kathy (the late Don) Groth, John (the late Glenda) Wagner, Peggy (Bill) DeClercq, James Wagner, and Richard (Cindy) Wagner. Cherished grandmother of Nathan (Vicky), Jason, Christine (Craig), John Jr., Jeff, Joe, Billy (Annie), Katie, Jenny (Justin), Chris (Sara), Ben (Gabby), and Alex (Casey); the treasured great grandmother of 10. Also survived by her brother Patrick (the late Grace) Barney, sister in law Jean Mittel and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters Eileen (the late Joe) Dutts and Kathleen Barney.

Mary was a sales representative for 30 years at J.L. Hudson’s in Eastland Mall. She was a hard worker and would volunteer her free time helping with various jobs at St. John Macomb Hospital. She would go garage sailing, floating down the country road looking for a deal with her husband. Old movies were her favorite and she was amazing at movie trivia. She liked to listen to Frank Sinatra and other musicians from the era. A talented embroiderer, she would teach anyone who wanted to learn. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and adored any moment shared with them.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren, Michigan. An instate will occur Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11:30 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen would be greatly appreciated.
