Mary Lou attended St. Mary's Academy, St. Florian High School in Hamtramck, and would ultimately venture down the path of higher learning through her enrollment at Detroit's prestigious Wayne State University.
Mary Lou worked hard all of her life, but also knew the importance of balance which was realized through her pastimes and favorite things to do,...like participating in her yoga class. A fantastic way of keeping centered, Mary Lou found sweet release in its benefits. Possessing a bit of the sporty side, she was a huge and avid fan of both bowling and golf. If she wasn't on the lanes rolling for that perfect 300 game, then you would have probably found her swingin' the clubs in the hope of landing that elusive Hole-in-One.
Mary Lou was also infused with a bit of the gaming itch which was always scratched by an evening down at the Bingo Hall. Like many, back in the day, who frequented the social meccas of gaming, Mary Lou never ceased to keep an eagle eye on her board,...just in case that last hopeful number got called...B I N G O!!! Along with filling up her Bingo board, Mary Lou was renowned for her penchant in entering sweepstakes. She loved giving Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money, so she entered often and was victorious on many occasions. She was one very lucky woman!
She loved to travel and truly enjoyed going to the movies. Yet of all the things that attracted her attention, none was more treasured than the moments spent with her loving family and friends. Mary Lou touched a multitude of hearts and souls in her journey through life, and leaves a wonderful legacy of love to be embraced by all who were blessed to know this amazing woman,...a lady who was loved by all.
Mary Lou was the dear mother of Robin (the late Steve) DeKane, Bonnie (Kevin) Hessling, Renee (Tom) Kazmirowski, Robert Dardzinski, and Randi Dardzinski. Loving grandmother of Amanda, Raquel (Kyle), Erin (Trevor), Stephanie (Stephen), Tommy, and great-grandmother of Cassidy. She was preceded in death by sisters, Diane Morrow and Christine Krumholz.
