She was born to Walter Siedlecki and Frances Dolan on June 12th, 1939.
She loved her summers spent on the family farm growing up. She spoke of it often, remembering that time of her life most. She cared for others as if it was second nature. She did everything she could for every human and animal that came into her home. She opened up her home to so many, family or otherwise, cooking them delicious meals and letting them stay when in need. They became family. She touched many lives, selflessly.
She will be remembered as the binding that kept our family together, and she’s out there now, rebinding our pages to ensure more stories can be added to the collection. Mary Ann stoked and rekindled the fire of love within the family time and time again. Let us honor her by not allowing the flame to burn out; Let it glow intensely in tribute.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her amazing husband Gordon and her grandson Matthew Smith.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Smith, Jill (James) Whelan, Alisa (Dale) Elle, and Lianne Porter; her grandchildren Joel, Jacqueline, Connor, Riley, Thomas, Robert, Alexandre and Amelia along with great grandchildren Emery, Grayson and Addyson; as well as her brother James Siedlecki.
A private service at Resurrection Cemetery is planned for the family.
