Marlene Patricia Ruyle, age 74 a resident of Saint Clair Shores for over 54 years, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at her home. Marlene was born July 26, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Howard Climie and the late Eleanor (nee: Andrysiak) Climie. Mrs. Ruyle was raised in Grosse Pointe Woods and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School. She went on to attend Eastern Michigan University where she would meet her husband. Marlene and David Ruyle married August 20, 1955. Mrs. Ruyle worked for many years as a medical office manager before retiring. When Marlene was not working, she and her husband were avid bridge players she became a Life Master Bridge Player. In her younger years Marlene was quite athletic, she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, spending time with family and traveling. She and her husband spent most of their winters in Florida. Marlene Ruyle is the beloved wife of David Ruyle. Dearest mother of Don (Elaine) Ruyle, Sue (Don) Schlack, and Tom (Julie) Ruyle. She is the loving grandmother of Nicole, Brian, Stacie, Lindsey, Amber, and David. The dear sister of Jacqueline (Louis) Marcetti, Beverly (Donald) Temrowski, and Christine (Terry) Jackson. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Ruyle will be Monday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Jerry Weinzierl. Please share memories of Marlene at her guest book.
