Margaret F. Buchmann, 74, of Sterling Heights, died Monday, March 19, 2006 at St. John Macomb Hospital, in Warren. Margaret was born October 11, 1931 in Detroit to William and Helen Sneddon. As a young child and all through her adulthood she belonged to Ascension Lutheran Church in Roseville. She and her husband, Joseph, met at church as children and had Sunday school and confirmation together. As teenagers they belonged to the church's young people's card club. When Joseph left for the military, she was the one to throw his going away party. After Joseph's return they began dating and were married within the year. Unfortunately, Margaret lost Joseph, her best friend, when he was only 65 years old. Besides the Card club at Ascension Lutheran, Margaret also belonged to the Ladies Aid group. She had worked as a secretary at many businesses including Chrysler, Bendix, Warren family YMCA, and Satterlund Supply from which she retired in 1988. Margaret loved to travel. She also loved her church to which she had belonged her entire life. Gardening was Margaret's favorite hobby. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sherry Shields; grandchildren, Joseph and Kaitlyn; sister, Betty Breitmeyer; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Kutz and Barbara Sosnoski; and mother-in-law, Margaret. Visitation for Margaret will be Wednesday, March 22 from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home, and will be officiated by Pastor Larry Zwieg. Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
