Lucy Makulski, age 93, died on December 27, 2008 at Shelby Nursing Home in Shelby, Michigan. She was born in Detroit on July 4, 1915 to the late Vincent and Helen Kozanecki. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Lucy treasured her family and enjoyed capturing many of those heartfelt moments on camera to cherish and to share. She loved traveling, especially when it involved her trips up north. Lucy will also be remembered as an avid reader of the newspaper and keeping up on current affairs. The beloved wife of the late Edmund, she leaves one daughter, Dolores (Ted) Charney. She is survived by grandchildren Mark Charney and Suzanne (Daniel) Boe, and four great-grandchildren as well. Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2008 from 3-9pm with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren, Michigan. Mrs. Makulski will lie in state Tuesday 9:30 am at St. Clement Catholic, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 am. Please share memories of Lucy at her guest book.
