Leslie Anne Lesniak, age 67, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Leslie was born August 29, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Maurice Boguth and the late Margaret (nee: Stephens) Boguth.Leslie was raised in Warren and attended St. Anne Catholic Grade School, and later graduated from Warren High School. Following her schooling, she lived in New York for a short time before returning to Michigan. Back in Michigan, Leslie worked at Michigan Rivet where she would meet her future husband and love of her life. She later worked for Carboloy managing the engineering department before retiring to become a full-time "Stay-at-Home" Mom.Leslie was devoted to her Catholic faith and her church, St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a Stephen Minister, and involved in the Active Christian Women's Club. Her true devotions in life were to her family and her Christian Faith. Leslie was a very smart and witty person who had a heart of gold and cared deeply for others. She loved to have fun but knew when it was time to become serious. Her family defined her as a devoted, loving, and nurturing woman who put her family and others before herself...truly a servant of Christ.Leslie was the beloved wife. for over 43 years, to James Lesniak, and the loving mother of James (Cherie) Yanchus, Matthew (Trisha) Lesniak, and Tina (John) Martin. Mrs. Lesniak was the cherished Grandma of Angela, Jacob, Katie, Sophie, Lucas, Alex, and Nathan. She is the dear sister of Maureen (Rich) Kurtz, and Maurice (Connie) Boguth. Mrs. Lesniak was predeceased by her parents, Maurice & Margaret Boguth, and her brother Gerald Boguth. Visitation for Mrs. Lesniak will be Monday, May 19th from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Mrs. Lesniak will lie in state Tuesday, 9am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until time of the Funeral Liturgy at 9:30am.
